casbah: rock'd

Last night, I accomplished one of my dreams: I played at the Casbah. Avalon Tattoo hosted their annual birthday party there last night and we were asked to play. Brooke's parents watched the kids so she could come. Lots of fun.

Tomorrow is my grandfather's graveside service. My grandma has asked me to read a poem that he liked.

Our fourth was pretty mellow. I worked on a few things and then we visited our Bantu refugee friends. We haven't seen them for awhile so it was good to catch up. They are wonderful people. When we left, Makinto said, 'Welcome home.' I think it was an English mistake but it meant a lot to Brooke and I. It felt like 'Welcome back, we've missed you.'
