Day 1 - Write

Why? Because my wife told me I had to.

Not really. Well, kinda.

As I mentioned earlier, Brooke conducted a workshop over the weekend. She introduced her 30 Day Challenge to "find creativity in the ordinary." She did come home and inform Paige, Matty and I that we were going to participate in the challenge. But we were all happy to do so. Actually, I was really excited that she decided to do this and challenge others to join in.

So, the first day is to write, not type, about what brings you joy. I do write (by hand) in my journal almost daily. Most of what I write is just stream of consciousness stuff; whatever comes to mind. Sometimes it's a lyric, sometimes it's reflection, sometimes it's mindmapping, sometimes it's doodling, often it's all of the above. I have one rule only: be grateful. When I remember to be grateful for what I have in my life, I discover all the joy there is to have. I've mentioned before the story behind my decision to choose gratitude daily. So, today's journaling was not much different than the usual but I still think it fits within the task of day one for the 30 Day Challenge. These pic's are a glimpse at my "journalling."

They probably won't bring you joy, but they do for me.
