CANA Initiative

I know what you're thinking: Is this the long awaited sequel to Alias!?

Alas, the font selection of this logo has led you astray.

Tonight, I'll be having dinner with folks I've been tracking with for nearly a decade, new friends I've recently made and people I've yet to meet for the first time. I'm looking forward to it!

Over the next couple of days, a number of Christian leaders from across the country are meeting here in Washington, DC to explore how we might work together for the common good. The effort that has brought us all together has been dubbed, CANA Initiative. The list of initiators for this project is an impressive list that includes many people I respect and admire... That list may additionally hold a record for the number white dudes w/ dark-rimmed glasses on one web page.

All kidding aside, I've participated in a variety of ecumenical groups over the years. Not all of them have been that productive. Some of them serve a purpose for a season and then are put to rest. I am hopeful about these leaders and the communities they represent–whether it be for merely a season or a sustained period of time. I'll do my best to share happenings from the gathering on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. So, stay tuned!
