the STOP CASTE NOW bbq comes to Ohio

The folks from Ordinary Community and Vineyard Central in Ohio are putting together a couple bbq's in the Cincinnati area. Watch for updates from Kevin Rains and Chris Smith. I talked with Neil Cole, author of Organic Church, and it looks like he and some of the CMA folks will be putting on a BBQ in the Long Beach are in July.

If you're considering doing a bbq, here's a few tips:
  • Have everyone bring something to grill to take some of the pressure off of you and yours
  • Contributions to STOP CAST NOW can be made out to Mission to Unreached People Groups or visit http://www.mup.org/OnlineGivingMain.htm to donate online directly to Sunil and Pam
  • Post info on your event on your website/blog and use the attached logo. It would also help if you refer back to the original post here.
  • Use a site such as evite.com or eventbrite.com to track your invitations.
  • Get extra propane/charcoal for the grill
  • Have fun! (Sunil does drink good beer by the way)

any chance they're spending time on the east coast - farther than ohio?

i'm in scranton, pa with a small community called peacemeal (and also work part-time at two diff't churches as a youth director). i'd be interested in exploring the possiblity of a bbq in Northeast PA if they have plans to be out this direction.
