Rather than rushing to be the first to post on a topic, to react to the headline, to jump on the latest hashtag meme .... read up on it, collect your thoughts, discuss it with folks in person. Our obsession with clicks, site visits, etc. rarely leads to thoughtful discourse. Take your time. We're happy to wait. The urge to rush, to post on time, is a false construct for most of us. If that's an imperative you choose, that's fine. Just recognize that it means you'll have to learn to say things like, "I hadn't thought that through," "I might've been wrong about that," The choice to be a thought leader has to come with humility.
