Ash Wednesday

"... This is the time of tension between dying and birth... " - from T.S. Eliot's poem Ash Wednesday"... congregation make your way to the front, Close your eyes and grieve" - from Zao's "Skin Like Winter" from Liberate Te Ex Inferis
Today, we remember that we are not God. We come up against our limits. We are reminded of our need for a Liberator. We grieve the divide between us and the Hope we crave so deeply. We are reminded that we don't enter into this season alone, we grieve, wait and watch together. We begin our anxious wait to be "resurrected from death, from the mundane, from complicity, from woundedness, from indifference, from unhealthiness, from our brokenness."
