December 18 | Theology on Tap

Brooke and Jason @ PLNU's Brewed Awakenings
Some of my favorite speaking engagements–and I speak in public frequently–have been the few times I've been able to speak with my wife, Brooke. Brooke is not only my high school sweetheart and soulmate but one of the brightest, most creative and inspiring people I've ever met (That's why I married her, duh!). In fact, one of my favorite memories is presiding over a wedding together with her (Thanks for that honor, Jessica and James!). In a couple weeks, we get to speak together again at Theology on Tap, which is led by our dear friend Mike Angell and a ministry of St. John's Lafayette Square. I'm looking forward to it!

Here's the blurb on the event:
"Jason and Brooke Evans will join us on December 18. Jason came to DC in Summer of 2012 to be the Young Adult missioner for the Episcopal Diocese of Washington. His family decided to come with him. Over the years Jason and Brooke have found various creative ways to make the celebrations of the church year come alive for their family, like making candy skulls and altars together for Day of the Dead, and celebrating the beginning of Advent with “Make Something Day” a pushback to the consumerism of our culture leading up to Christmas. Join us on December 18th as we discuss other ways to make the liturgical year, the seasons of the church, come alive."
Hope you can come join us at The Bier Baron Tavern on December 18 at 6:30pm! You should also hang out with St. John's Latrobe Fellowship on December 4. Brooke will be teaching St. John's young folks how to make hipster advent wreaths fit for a Brooklyn apartment.
