Cultivate Returns!

As mentioned last week, Cultivate '18 is coming up and I'm really looking forward to it! Cultivate has become the space where we (being the Diocese of Texas) train leaders on how to start new communities. We talk about critical practices and what needs to be prioritized. Last year was a blast! This year, because we believe that as many folks as possible need to be exposed to this, we'll be offering this twice and in two different locations.

We'll be in Austin on April 27 and 28, hosted by a congregation doing some wonderful missional work and hosting two missional communities, the Front Porch and Farm Church.

On May 4 and 5 we will be in Houston and hosted by A 2nd Cup, an incredible cafe that is working to end human trafficking in this city. (Yes, I'm biased–Brooke is their Director of Operations).

The other thing to note about this year, is that we will be adding training around pitching your missional work. Not all missional communities have expenses. In fact, that is the beauty of them. Yet, as a vision begins to grow and communities begin to scale up or replicate, costs can come into play. So, we'll talk about some things you should know about doing this. Come join us!
